I grew up with this quote as a strong influence on my career choices.  I've always loved solving problems, and being creative, which led me to a career in information technology.  I'm able to combine skills in multiple disciplines, to create an end product that allows my customers to better accomplish their goals and intent.

I have had a number of roles in the information technology field over the years; UI designer, software developer,  business process analyst, technology solutions architect, IT consultant.  I have worked for Fortune 500 companies such as

- Verizon
- Compaq (pre-HP)
- Brinker International
- Capital One

 

In addition, my experience encompasses such well-known companies as Zales Jewelers, Frito-Lay, Brinks Security, and smaller companies such as Southwest Securities, and Musical Starstreams.  I've worked for huge corporations, and small sole proprietorships.  Each client has unique and individual needs, and I take as much satisfaction in creating a solution for a small start-up as I do for a large organization.

Over my career, I've received training in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), application architecture, business process analysis and design (RUP), as well as FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) certification. This gives me a more well-balanced basis to understand your business and technology needs.

Oh, and about the name "Indigo Tea" - because I've been asked so many times, here's the story of "Indigo Tea": Some of you will remember the days when one accessed the Internet thru companies like AOL. I decided to create a username as a combination of my two favorite colors - indigo, and teal. AOL had a nine-character limit on user names, so my logon was truncated to i-n-d-i-g-o-t-e-a. After that, I decided that I liked the symbolism so much that I'd keep it. And so - there's the story!
