What's Your Error Message?

In the programming world, there's a thing called a "friendly error message"; like it's kindred "friendly fire", it usually isn't. A "friendly" error message says something like "Oops! You should contact the site administrator and tell them you wound up here". This leaves the poor site administrator to try to figure out the real error message, which could be any one of a thousand things. A "real" error message is usually ugly and not a whole lot of fun to deal with, but it's... the rest of the story
